    Ian Anderson 4/25/2019 1:19 PM
Electric and hybrid vehicles are starting to be around the same price as the gas only counterparts and that shows that everyone has the availability to use electricity to get around anywhere nowadays
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Buildings and Cities Replace Manual Thermostats
How do you anticipate replacing your thermostats for smart ones will positively impact your life?

    Ian Anderson's avatar
    Ian Anderson 4/25/2019 1:18 PM
Having the temperature go up in order to save electricity during times that I am not home helps with money as well as uses less carbon overall
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Buildings and Cities Choose LED Bulbs
Changing lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! What's next for you?

    Ian Anderson's avatar
    Ian Anderson 4/25/2019 1:18 PM
I made my roommate replace our regular lightbulbs with LED bulbs in order to both save money as well as have brighter lights
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transport Use Muscle Power
How do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?

    Ian Anderson's avatar
    Ian Anderson 4/25/2019 1:17 PM
When i am biking to and from the gym i find it more enjoyable to look around at all of the sights instead of just driving by them and not paying as much attention to my surroundings

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Support Local Food Systems
Dependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these (or other) advantages inspire you the most?

    Ian Anderson's avatar
    Ian Anderson 4/25/2019 1:16 PM
I've incorporated salads into my diet in order to eat more greens. Supporting the local businesses that make this food possible helps when i eat them

  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How can you ensure that your virtual meetings honor your values and your company's culture?

    Ian Anderson's avatar

My boss now makes sure to use a group messaging app instead of having us meet in the store for most of our meeting
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Composting
Producing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?

    Ian Anderson's avatar
    Ian Anderson 4/19/2019 3:30 PM
I find that the uneaten portions of large meals is irresponsible by those who dispose of them as they did not take in to consideration that they're being wasteful and that food could go towards other uses other than being in the trash to be burned at a waste management plant
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Materials Go Paperless
What do you want to prioritize over material 'stuff' in your own life?

    Ian Anderson's avatar
    Ian Anderson 4/17/2019 8:33 PM
I've been doing most of my communications electronically, including using online money wiring instead of writing checks to avoid the other party wasting and using paper
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Smaller Portions
Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?

    Ian Anderson's avatar
    Ian Anderson 4/17/2019 8:32 PM
I put smaller portions on my plate and if i can eat more than i put more food within reason and compare it to how hungry i still am after the first meal
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transport Try Carpooling
List some of the places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?
