Women and Girls Make School More Affordable
Why is it important that girls have equal access to education in order to reduce our global greenhouse gas emissions?

Girls are not below men, and shouldn't be treated as a lower individual, we are not in the past anymore, everything has changed, we are in the 21st century. Without having that education, they won't be aware of the things happening around the world. If both genders come together, they can bring forth ideas that can work with the now existing ideas but not yet fully developed. One of those issues that can be worked on through the education taught in a classroom- the school environment is how to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions.

This world at times can be male-based. There are more men running the business rather than a small percentage of women who are in the field of business. One of the few reasons why I want to support these businesses is to be informed on how women too can make it big- hoping to break down the barriers and the gender gap in society. Another reason is that my sister one day will be able to pursue her dreams in business without judgment and there can be a place for her in the future- of what's left of women smallholders.

Food Keep Track of Wasted Food
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?

I would rather spend it on my school education or for future purposes. Although I do believe food is very important, and necessary in our lives, a certain amount can keep our systems running. We can use that money for something you would like to support, an organization, family, bills, health, etc. If we limit ourselves to a certain portion each day, we would make that a habit and helps us save money. But if we serve bigger plates. the more we will want-to a point that we will not be as satisfied.

There is some challenges have bounced back on, relating to my food intake and food sources,  by limiting myself to a certain portion that somehow would make me hungrier in the process.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Smaller Portions
Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?

A healthier diet is one of the many benefits that can come out of eating smaller portions, there is always a way to find some food source that not necessarily would make a good impact on one's health, or eliminating that product can relieve our system intake.

Food Learn the Truth About Expiration Dates
How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

The expiration dates are important because some products aren't healthy intake we put into our bodies. The use by, and sell by are two different things, sell by, and best by  is the stronger date, but can have the same effect if not aware beforehand.
