    Creates a safer environment for people, reduces the carbon footprint which reduces air pollutants. Pollution in general matters to me.

    We mulch our yard every year. This year we acquired a rain barrel to use recycled water in our garden.

    Food Smaller Portions
    Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?

    Reduces the amount of prep and cooking. Increases the amount of home cooked meals because you have more portions (leftover lunches).

    It reduces the amount of food waste, financial impact, and reduces the risk of illness (among other things like water, land, seeds, etc.).
