    Food Reduce Animal Products
In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

I think or country's high meat and dairy consumption is due to our wealth and the disconnect most meat-eaters have with the facts about the animals that they eat. Also, our government subsidizes the industry such that the true cost is not passed on to the consumer
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Zero-waste Cooking
How are environmental issues like black carbon and other emissions from cooking fires or rudimentary cookstoves also human health and social justice issues? Why do these issues matter to you?

Globally the rich have so much and the poor so little. It is important for us as humans to be more equitable with the world's resources so ALL can live in a sustainable way while still supplying for their families.

What have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?

I live in Tivoli, which is a walkable community because of local businesses and side walks. Today I walked to my dentist appointment. I always enjoy getting some exercise and fresh air in the middle of the day and feel very glad when I can walk (rather than drive) to accomplish a necessary errand.
