Challenge is going great, it is actually much easier than it seemed at first. Feels like the norm.

I am encouraged by the challenge to reduce my intake of meat, mainly because this is not something I would do on my own, and to be honest I am tempted some days but then I remember I am committed to this challenge. If I can do it anyone can do it! Yeeaaah!!

Name some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?

Human activities impacting the health of water systems include dumping, improper disposal of Industrial waste, pollution and climate change. I can improve the health of water systems by reducing the use of fertilizers, disposing of oils and other chemicals properly and keeping driveways clean.

When I'm driving I really dont pay much attention to the surrounding.  I merely just glance around, however, while walking I am able to enjoy the beauty that is around and I am able to enjoy nature.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

North Americans eat more meat than other countries becuase they can afford it more and they love their protein.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Smaller Portions
Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?

Eating smaller portions could help you to loose a few pounds.

My church is a little less than 2 miles from my house and I usually go there on Wednesday evenings.  As of this Wednesday I will walk to the service.
