Today on my walk I met a hoppy toad, saw land picked up) some litter where I harder ever see it, saw some poison ivy on the walking path where it always comes up. I will bring a spray bottle of vinegar , to ondo m it in , on my next walk. Later I found more litter ant some pretty purple wildflowers. And wild strawberry blossoms... I might go back...

    Food Learn More about Silvopasture
Had you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?

I bhad never heard of silvoipasture before, but what a good idea. I know that I feel better in the shade when it's hot, and so do other mammals. Happy cows,we  have long known, are more productive. So it's good economy. It's good for our moral stature to refrain from inflicting unnecessary misery on other beings, especially those which we are breeding, raising and killing for our food. And silvopasture allows farmers the economic benefits of diverse income sources...they can sell mushrooms, nuts, fruits, maple syrup and limber from the trees as well.

Rainstorms  made taking a walk a bit tricky, but between the showers I got in little walks including walking from one  shopping centesr to another nearby for errands ,  instead of driving.

Picked some violets by the dude of the road, and some wisteria and periwinkle.

1/3 of my walk today took me along a busy road with no sidewalks. The road will certainly need to be widened when the Wegmans goes up, and sidewaks are promised. I don't see how they can without encroaching on family front yards.

The meatless meal thing is pretty easy But the smaller portions part is tricky. Usually I save part of the meat at lunch to have at supper. Now I eat the whole serving of meat at lunch and generally on a full sized plate.

Seems like when I know I will be having a meatless supper I don't use a smaller plate or take a smaller portions at lunch. There's a thing to work on.

What are the factors that influence your choice of transportation? These can include things like money, time, and convenience, as well as perceptions of danger or safety. What would need to change for you to regularly choose more climate-friendly options?

When I lived close to a bus route that ran frequently, I used the bus more often; I also lived within walking distance of many places I liked or needed to get to. Where I live now, the bus doesn't come at convenient times and takes too long to get to where I need to go. However, there is  commercial development growing in my neighborhood, including a large grocery store/ cafe. That may reduce our use of cars for shopping. I can also drive to a nearby shopping mal l and catch the bus that runs by frequently. Unfortunately, the light rail that was going to run close to my house has been cancelled, but I will be following the news about that and about options for saving part of the project.  I could also cut down on car use if I went ato  a church and fitness ercenter closer to home. But I am not bwilling to do that.
