REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Recycle Everything I CanHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?
Maija Haggith 4/23/2019 6:40 AMby taking the time to pause and think before just throwing something away. By taking the second to think about it, it's more possible to follow the R's and slowly add them to your daily life. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Explore Other Transport SolutionsWhat did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?
Maija Haggith 4/18/2019 10:55 AMI learned that for my area there aren't a lot of other transportation options. One option that could be used is carpooling with others who are going the same direction or place as you to help. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Contact your Elected OfficialsDo you have any personal connections to a farm or farmland? If so, what are they? What feelings are evoked for you when thinking about declining farmland?
Maija Haggith 4/16/2019 6:39 AMYes the representative is a farmer so he understands the importance of farming. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Learn More about SilvopastureHad you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?
Maija Haggith 4/16/2019 6:37 AMI had - I work with the young farmers and at one of the Regional Gatherings and had a presenter come and talk about it. It's an interesting concept that i think works in certain areas of the country/ landscapes but might not work everywhere. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Support Nutrient ManagementHow does environmental quality influence your sense of community?
Maija Haggith 4/15/2019 2:35 PMEnvironmental quality is important because we need to treat the land well for it to be there for the future. Without the land , communities as well know now will no longer be around and or destroyed by environmental issues such as flooding. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Smaller PortionsFun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?
Maija Haggith 4/15/2019 2:32 PMI think a lot of times people think that they need all the food, which sometimes you do. The nice thing about eating smaller portions is the added benefit of maybe loosing a few pounds, and feeling comfy in your clothes again. Another thing to think about is drinking more water to feel fuller so that you don't eat as much as you typically would. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWomen and Girls Connect With A NonprofitWhat are the most pressing issues for women and girls in your community?
Maija Haggith 4/15/2019 7:58 AMThat's a great question, i think it depends on location but one thought is having a voice at the table, while it's slowly changing to that it's not dominate.-
Megan Schultz 4/15/2019 2:15 PMI think this is an important issue that can be easily over looked.
