REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Anne-Louise Blue 4/24/2019 5:12 PMThe environmental cost of meat eating is out of the sight line of most North Americans. In Canada, the new food guide may help point people toward vegetables and grains.

REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and Cities Go for a Daily WalkWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Anne-Louise Blue 4/22/2019 12:57 PMI'm grateful for the walkable areas of Toronto. With the population growing, we need to find ways to locate people and jobs closer together so that walking to work is more often an option.-
Jeanette Butterworth 4/24/2019 5:42 PMYa, especially Toronto-the amount of commuting is hideous. And i see soooooo many cars with single occupants:(

REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Properly Dispose of RefrigerantsHow do you address your own feelings of concern, fear or despair about climate change?
Anne-Louise Blue 4/21/2019 9:07 AMGiven that refrigerant management is #1 on the Drawdown list I expected to find more info available on how to ensure proper disposal. Refrigerators are lumped in with other appliances on my city's waste website. The only special mention is that the door should be removed when leaving at the curb for pick up - will contact the city to suggest adding further info. -
Anne-Louise Blue 4/14/2019 9:05 AMThere's an event coming up in Hamilton that may be of interest to those who took the Indigenous people's land management challenge: Six Nations Land and Resource Rights: Moving from the Caledonia Crisis to Consensus in Urban and Environmental Planning

Anca Radu 4/17/2019 6:33 PMThis sounds like a great event! Unfortunately, I don't think I will meet the target for that particular challenge in the time that is left. :( But, I'm going to keep an eye out for these events in the future and attend one. Thank you for finding it!

Arlene Noble 4/13/2019 7:02 AMI love this poster. I just don’t want to live to be 106! However if I do I hope I can be as engaged. Amazing.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Learn the Truth About Expiration DatesHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
Anne-Louise Blue 4/08/2019 9:56 AMBB in the fine print on packaging stands for Best Best Before! Seems obvious now. :) I’m determined to reduce my food waste. -
Anne-Louise Blue 4/07/2019 10:27 AMDoes anyone have suggestions about how to learn about local indigenous land practices? The best resource I've found so far is an online course developed by the U of Alberta that includes a segment on the indigenous relationship to the land (below). I'm learning a lot, but would also be interested in a live presentation. Any leads?
