-
Lisa Toulon 4/05/2019 4:40 AMI agree, Yousif. Have you changed any of your habits about using electricity since you started this challenge. What did you learn about the biomass technoloy?

REFLECTION QUESTIONWomen and Girls Support Women-Owned BusinessesGlobally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. How can you better support communities by supporting women? Can you share any past experiences that may help others take action?
-
Lisa Toulon 4/05/2019 4:43 AMIs that true for all countries? I wonder if "work" is defined differently for girls and boys.

yousif jameel 4/04/2019 1:04 PMI didn't know that women make up 43 percent of the agricultural labor force and produce 60 to 80 percent of food crops in poorer parts of the world.-
Abelina Khochaba 4/12/2019 11:31 AMWow i never new that that's cool. -

yousif jameel 4/04/2019 12:55 PMi didnt know that Scientists estimate the Kigali accord will reduce global warming by nearly one degree Fahrenheit. Still, the bank of HFCs will grow substantially before all countries halt their use. Because 90 percent of refrigerant emissions happen at end of life, effective disposal of those currently in circulation is essential. After being carefully removed and stored, refrigerants can be purified for reuse or transformed into other chemicals that do not cause warming.-
Lisa Toulon 4/05/2019 4:51 AMGreat information. Thanks for sharing. This made me want to learn more. I read the article linked below. They have an interesting solution people can do:
- "Maximize the efficiency of the fridge or freezer you have by keeping the coils clean and filling empty space in the freezer with jugs of water."
-
-
yousif jameel 4/04/2019 12:48 PMI didn't know that The power sector currently accounts for around 40 percent of annual greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere, making it the highest-emitting sector, followed by industry and transportation.-
Lisa Toulon 4/05/2019 4:54 AMI did not either. That is a lot! Why do much? How can we reduce it?
-
-
yousif jameel 4/04/2019 11:56 AMI didn't know that The heat energy contained below the earth’s surface is about 100 billion times more than current world energy consumption.-
Lisa Toulon 4/05/2019 4:55 AMInteresting fact. Would we be able to use this heat energy? Would there be any potential problems if we do?

-
yousif jameel 4/04/2019 11:53 AMI didn't know that In recent decades, tropical forests have suffered extensive clearing, fragmentation, degradation, and depletion of biodiversity. that was really interesting -
yousif jameel 4/04/2019 11:36 AMI didn't know that he Pantheon was a Roman temple commissioned during the consulship of Marcus Agrippa 2,000 years ago and completed by the emperor Hadrian about 128 AD. -
yousif jameel 4/04/2019 10:40 AMI didn't know that Wave- and tidal-energy systems harness natural oceanic flows—among the most powerful and constant dynamics on earth—to generate electricity.
