Had you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?

I had not heard of the term "silvopasture" before now. I think the biggest advantage of silvopasture is creating a system that is beneficial for both the land and the animals that are placed on it. It also consolidates the amount of land that is used for both the trees and the animals.

Something that concerns me the most is the amount trash that is currently in the oceans. This is an issue that I only recently learned more about, and it is an example of how our lifestyles not only affect us but whole ecosystems as well. It is something that everyone will have to work to change.

Why is taking action on climate change important to you? Why do you care?

    Erin Jenkins 4/24/2019 6:32 PM
Taking action on climate change is important to me because now is the time to start changing our actions before it is too late. Even if we can't see the impact we make until further in the future, we can at least develop a starting point for others to work off of.

In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

    Erin Jenkins's avatar
    Erin Jenkins 4/04/2019 7:44 PM
I think people in North America eat more meat than other countries because meat is cheap and convenient, especially with the prevalence of fast food. In terms of North American values and ways of living, I think have become so used to meat in our diets that it's not something we'd easily give up, even if we know the damaging impacts of the meat production industry.
