REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Smaller PortionsFun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Learn the Truth About Expiration DatesHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
Kiana Johnson 4/03/2019 8:52 AMI think many people think that all these labels are the same thing when they really aren't. Sell by date is a date that the store has to sell the item by (doesn't mean it is expired). The best by date is a date suggested by the producer that aims to tell you how long the product should have high quality. The use by date is the recommended date of when to finish or stop using the product by.
I also believe that the use by and best by dates aren't always accurate, it is best to use your best judgement in determining if a food is safe to eat or not.
