Yes, I had heard about it. I think one of the biggest advantages is more nutrients in the crops. Also it really is beautiful!

We need to bring the CO2 back to the soil.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Composting
Producing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?

The energy and hours of labor. Also that this food could be used for people who need it.

The kids.  I'm worried about what we are leaving to our children and grandchildren.  How can we be such DREADFUL stewards of this planet?

I also am concerned with the plastic in the lakes, stream, oceans and on land.

Food Keep Track of Wasted Food
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?

I would use it on adventures with my family.
