Recycling is a habit. Reducing and reusing requires more conscious effort.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Reduce Animal Products
In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

Tradition is the primary reason for so much meat consumption, but in addition many people are time-poor and meat is a calorie-dense food that can be quickly and easily consumed. Our farm subsidies also favor meat (indirectly; corn!)
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?

Looking at nature is psychologically restorative, and good for the local microclimate for cooling purposes.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Why is taking action on climate change important to you? Why do you care?

I feel disappointed by the lack of action taken in the past several decades since we have known climate change was coming.

It looks like current persistent actions (e.g. walking to work, eating vegan) are only counted for 1 point, is that right?
