  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Composting
Producing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?

Water and energy use are the most powerful to me. I'm also influenced by the fertilizer, herbicides and pesticides that are used in commercial farming. Wasting water can be as bad as wasting the food produced, maybe worse.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transport Use Public Transit
How has your access to various kinds of transporation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?

I like my car and the perceived freedom that it provides me, but I also enjoy taking public transportation. I like reading my book. I like not thinking about the commute. I like not having to find parking or hassle with that sort of thing.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Reduce Animal Products
In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

I think it is habit more than anything. Family history or "how we've always done it." Many people are reluctant to try what is different and explore other options.
