Alex Mota 4/25/2019 8:41 AMI really loved this challenge if we could do more lush wide challenges i think it would be really great -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Conduct Virtual MeetingsHow can you ensure that your virtual meetings honor your values and your company's culture?
Alex Mota 4/24/2019 5:33 PMIt reduced carbon emissions which are damaging for the environment. A meeting can be done online to get information across. Obviously not all meetings can be help virtually but when they can they should. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Share Bioplastic Disposal TipsWhat concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.
Alex Mota 4/24/2019 5:31 PMThe way we produce meat is absolutely terrifying I am a vegetarian for environmental reasons I would be ok with hunted meat but the way we do it is so wasteful and damaging on many levels.
Also our plastic consumption is completely out of hand. A few decades ago things lasted now even with new technologies things are made to break apart cycle of rebuying instead of fixing. It's scary! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Explore Other Food SolutionsWhat did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?
Alex Mota 4/24/2019 5:27 PMMULTISTRATA AGROFORESTRY – a perennial cropping system featuring multiple layers of trees and other perennial crops, with high biosequestration impacts.
And reducing chemical fertilizer to reduce nitric oxide -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Social Justice Learn about Local Indigenous PracticesWhat did you learn about indigenous peoples' land management that you can apply in your own life?

REFLECTION QUESTION

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Learn the Truth About Expiration DatesHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
Alex Mota 4/18/2019 7:49 PMI could save money and waste because grocery stores discount a lot of food that is close to the sell by date. Many people wouldn't by them due to the date but its it's just a marketing scheme. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Social Justice Express My SupportHow could better walking infrastructure make your city both more enjoyable and more equitable?
Alex Mota 4/16/2019 5:08 AMMore green spaces in all areas.right now areas with more inequality have mush less green spaces due to the density of the area, however they could plant more trees. By providing more green spaces you increase the visual enjoyment, but it also helps cool the area. This is very important since climate change will bring more heatwaves that will last longer. The most vulnerable people are those who live alone and in higher up most common in densely packed areas. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Properly Dispose of RefrigerantsHow do you address your own feelings of concern, fear or despair about climate change?
Alex Mota 4/11/2019 6:41 PMI read more about it and talk to people. I think that's by keeping the conversation going it helps everyone be a little less damaging to the earth and ourselves in the end. -
Alex Mota 4/11/2019 6:37 PMI cant wait till finals are over I want to complete my one time challenges and learn cool things but I'm so busy studying!
