I feel we are abusing our planet and throwing trash everywhere. we have beach shores full of trash the water washes up and animals being killed by our trash. we can see this globally but even on our local beaches.

    Materials Recycle Everything I Can
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?

Usually i reuse any plastic I can when available, such as water bottles and food containers to use for left overs. doing this makes me feel like i'm wasting less plastic than needed.

I have heard a small bit about biomass energy before researching the topic. I learned that bio-energy has about zero new emissions if regulated properly this could be the best way to reduce waste from organic food to create energy.

Electricity Generation Learn More about Wave and Tidal Energy
What did you learn about wave and tidal energy? Were you surprised by the information you found?

    Thomas Munro's avatar
    Thomas Munro 3/31/2019 12:42 PM
After researching wave and tidal energy i found out that they are currently the most expensive types of renewable energy to implement. through vast research and investment I hope we can lower the cost of this energy source to increase our total energy net gain to become a more environmental country.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Electricity Generation Learn More about Micro Wind
Micro turbines can be placed on large structures to take advantage of stronger, steadier breezes. The Eiffel Tower now sports vertical axis turbines that produce electricity for use on site. Where could micro turbines potentially be installed in your city?

Micro turbines is a great idea! I believe we can implement these turbines all over including rural and city areas by putting these turbines on cellphone towers and water towers and any taller buildings in the area. even if we don't have the best wind flow because of being a compact area of buildings and vehicles we can still use our taller resources to save in any way we can.

I read about the waste to energy generation and i find this the most fascinating. We have a huge waste problem with waste and litter all over and a lot of it can be reused to power these cites devastated by trash. while this is not a clean way to use energy it will help us to lean off of fossil fuels.
