REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and Cities Explore Other Buildings and Cities SolutionsWhat did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?
Mitchell Robles 4/25/2019 2:24 AMNever knew that small changes such as getting more pedestrians or focusing on pedestrians can bring more business to local shops and restaurants. -
Mitchell Robles 4/21/2019 10:03 PMI really wasn't aware of the amount of caffeine in various products, i just thought it was in coffee and stuff from like Starbucks or Dunkin Doughnuts but, little did I know that it was in my new favorite drink (Blueberry lemonade). Oh well, I'll just continue to stick to water, I was almost getting addicted to the lemonade now that I think about it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Forest-Friendly Foods 2How difficult or easy was it to change your diet?
Mitchell Robles 4/21/2019 10:01 PMBye bye bananarama coffee smoothie, so long blueberry lemonade, no more monster energy drink for these last minute assignments. A necessary sacrifice though, can't live in this world if we destroy it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Use Forest-Friendly Foods 1How is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?
Mitchell Robles 4/21/2019 9:58 PMSo I normally drink nothing but water but since I discovered blueberry lemonade my life was changed. Sadly this drink has caffeine in it and indirectly contributes to deforestation within the world. Welp, time to stick to water again. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Explore Other Food SolutionsWhat did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?
Mitchell Robles 4/21/2019 9:55 PMPersonally, When I eat I try not to waste anything on my plate and try not to order more than I can handle because wasting food is such an ignorant crime. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Explore Other Transport SolutionsWhat did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?
Mitchell Robles 4/21/2019 9:11 PMWith all these simple changes being made, it quickly reduces pedestrian risk of getting hit by a vehicle, as well as reducing car crashes in general but, this also will reduce the amount of pollution. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Keep Track of Wasted FoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?
Mitchell Robles 4/21/2019 7:54 PMDonating it to children's hospitals, orphanages and animal shelters. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Learn More about Regenerative AgricultureClean air, clean water and healthy food are three reasons to care about regenerative agriculture. What are some other reasons?
Mitchell Robles 4/21/2019 7:49 PMThe regrouping of the lost carbon into the atmosphere, the exponential increase in carbon rich soil for better fertility, and clean food since there will be no usage of pesticides. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Learn More about SilvopastureHad you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?
Mitchell Robles 4/21/2019 7:45 PMNever heard of it. Personally, the biggest advantage is that it both is more environmentally friendly as it is ethical for the livestock. -
Mitchell Robles 4/21/2019 7:44 PMThe summary on Silvopasture really shocked me because not only is this technique cheaper than mass production, it is also more practical and faster than its counterpart. Most importantly, this practice is ethical and eco-friendly and as we all know, money rules the world so by definition there should be more farmland using this practice.
