REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Recycle Everything I CanHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?
Cornelia Schalch 4/24/2019 3:33 AMCurrently I do reuse and repair as many things as possible. But I have become aware that I have potential in reducing my wardrobe without renewing it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Use Public TransitHow has your access to various kinds of transporation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?
Cornelia Schalch 4/08/2019 1:28 PMPublic transportation was always an important means of transport for me. However it took me a major life crisis to sell my car and to move into town to improve the access to the public train and transportation networks. Since then I enjoy being a pedestrian and my life’s rhythm has got much closer to nature again. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Cornelia Schalch 4/08/2019 1:14 PMApparently inequality is one of the drivers for eating more meat: it seems to reflect a sort of wealth and is therefore copied by less wealthy people.
Personally I have the impression that eating meat is also related to a feeling of power over other creatures and therefore may satisfy rather powerless people’s need for empowerment and self esteem.
