  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transport Use Muscle Power
How do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?

All choices other than driving permit more personal engagement with the community. Driving has an individual, destination-oriented focus, while walking, riding transit and biking lend themselves to being more fully present in the moment and to interpersonal interactions.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Materials Go Paperless
What do you want to prioritize over material 'stuff' in your own life?

I want to prioritize authentic relationships over material "stuff."
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Materials Choose Recycled Paper
Good job on choosing recycled paper! How can you take your action a step further?

A further step would be to use less paper overall and try to communicate electronically where at all possible.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Support Local Food Systems
Dependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these (or other) advantages inspire you the most?

In addition to the political benefits of local food systems, producing and acquiring the food requires fewer resources, the food is healthier and just tastes better!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Reduce Animal Products
In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

I think North Americans are largely unaware of healthier ways of eating, mostly due to our advertising-based consumer culture and the power of the industrial food industry.
