My transportation choices definitely changes my perspective and how I participate in my community. I enjoy walking and biking. Driving is more stressful. Riding transit is in-between because there times that I like taking transit. 

Fresh air and de-stress from society and busy life.

It is good for my mental/spiritual health because I mediate in nature to de-stress. Trees provide excellent shade in the summer and oxygen to breathe.

It always people to connect and support the local economy. People are more likely to check shops while walking.

Yesterday (Monday, 4/22) I attended a meeting of the Climate Reality Project's Silicon Valley chapter, of which I am a member... a leader from Citizen's Climate Lobby gave a detailed presentation about the current state of their proposed carbon tax legislation, the Green New Deal, and California's cap and trade system. 

Today I attended an Elders Climate Action webinar, getting started as a volunteer in the upcoming elections... this is called Elders Promote the Vote, but really its the Environmental Votor Project.  There is a serious problem in the environmental community with low voter turnout! I can go to the businesses by donating my time and money. I like food businesses because I just need to buy food and drinks to support them.
