If I buy the food that has the newest sell by date, then most likely, the older sell by dated product will end up getting discarded. If I buy the oldest sell by date then I can use it until the use by date and keep an eye on it after the best by date and that will ensure that this older shelved product does not get thrown away. -

Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?
