I read an article on National Geographic (Here's the link if anyone's interested: https://www.nationalgeographic.com/magazine/2019/04/to-build-cities-of-the-future-stop-driving-cars/). It looked at a variety of case studies, from Copenhagen to Portland to the problems of Silicon Valley to Kunming. The article focused a lot on the problems with sprawl which creates the "disconnected environment" that forces people to use cars.

We pretty much only walked and took public transportation in Europe, and I've been thinking about how to do this more now that I'm back to my regular life.
