  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Women and Girls Support Women-Owned Businesses
Globally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. How can you better support communities by supporting women? Can you share any past experiences that may help others take action?

the women owned business i support on a monthly basis are the hair dresser, pedicure and my husband's barber. We also make a point to eat a very tiny dinner in WheatRidge/Arvada who also supports the teenagers in the neighborhood with a weekly get together, thus giving them someplace to go that is safe, doesn't cost a thing. It is a drive for us to get up there, but we feel it is worth it.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Transport Research and Consider Switching to a Hybrid or Electric Vehicle
Reducing (or eliminating) exhaust emissions and improving public health are two benefits of green vehicles. What other motivators inspire you to consider switching to a more fuel-efficient vehicle?

    Susan Apodaca 4/23/2019 2:14 PM
not only to save money to my bank account, I would consider switching to a fuel-efficient vehicle when there are more places for charging, and more states on board. in the mean time i plan to keep my car for many many many years, thus it will not be goig to a land fill anytime soon.

The tree I planted is view-able from my living room window. I can watch it grow, change colors and provide a home for the blue jays. Which is very relaxing.

As the article says, it costs a pretty penny to install solar systems in a house; while a big motivator is to save money, it also is to take advantage of what is around me. When you look at nature, and what bugs/animals due to adapt, humans could learn a lot.
