Well today’s walk was 8 miles in the Smoky Mountains!  The things I noticed was that we live on an amazingly beautiful planet. We need to keep it that way. It’s hard not to feel motivated to do so when you see the mist rising off the mountains at sunrise.

At my job I am trying to reduce paper use at every opportunity.  Currently, I am looking to deploy information screens rather than posting paper signs.  I plan to re-use old screens and not purchase new ones as well.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Smaller Portions
Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?

It is much better for digestive reasons.  As I have aged, over-eating has become more of a digestive concern!

I have made my daily lunch into zero waste prep and packaging by cooking in one pot and re-using glass containers and jars.  I recommend Parmesan Cheese glass jars!  However, I need to move to cloth napkins.  I realize they need water to clean them.  I did purchase natural biodegradable laundry detergent:  https://biokleenhome.com/laundry/
