Land Use Learn about Temperate Forests

The concepts were intriguing, especially the heavy focus on forest management practices. The ability of young forests to sequester carbon more efficiently than old growth is intuitive, but there is a humbling reminder for me every time I get to walk in midst of centuries old Sequoias and Redwoods.

In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

Americans eat more meat than most countries because, simply, it tastes good and most have not been able to see alternatives as attractive. Many urban centers, like here in Portland, have a wide range of restaurants and markets that allow for residents to delve into vegetarianism and veganism and find that there are some great options available.
