Watching them grow over the years you can always remember the day u planted them. And it’s fun to get the kids involved.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Use Research Peatlands
Much of Indonesia's peatlands have been drained so they could be replaced with palm oil or pulp and paper plantations. How can you make choices that help to protect peatlands, even if you live far away from one?

    Jeremy Banach's avatar
    Jeremy Banach 4/17/2019 12:28 PM
We can make an impact by educating ourselves, friends and family on the importance of peatlands   . Also purchasing products that are not harvested or produced in regions that promote peatland destruction.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Land Use Learn about Temperate Forests
As you learn more about the scope and seriousness of the environmental challenges we face, what impact does that have on your thinking and actions? What are the parts that feel overwhelming? What parts help you feel hopeful?

    Jeremy Banach's avatar
    Jeremy Banach 4/16/2019 12:33 PM
Definitely more aware of the environmental impact when I’m purchasing an item. The initial cost of new technology can be a bit overwhelming.
