REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?
Christine Berlingeri 4/10/2019 7:44 AMI would rather spend that money on traveling!! However, that is not all that good for the Earth. I could spend that money on a compost or reusable bags to give out or for school so I can help better my education and the environment by taking more classes (I want to be an environmental engineer). -
Christine Berlingeri 4/10/2019 7:40 AMI care about the environment so much, it hurts to hear that we as humans have negatively affected our Earth to such an extreme extent. I want to reduce my carbon foot print as much as i can, and this allows me to do it in a fun way. It is hard to change but choosing my actions have showed me how much I can do. Although I am still in high school I have so much power to change the future by my action. And I have my whole life to keep changing and reducing humans carbon foot print. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Christine Berlingeri 4/10/2019 7:36 AMHow easy it is to get meat in fast food resturants etc. Personally, i think it is our culture (even though we don't really have a culture) meat is such a large part of every meal. People don't think they will be full without meat in a meal. People also don't take into account how animals are being treated when they eat meat such as Perdue, or how much waste these animals produce!! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportList some of the places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?
Christine Berlingeri 4/09/2019 2:17 PMschool, I carpool with my friend 5 days a week to school and a lot when just hanging out.
