My husband is deeply invested in this effort and I believe that If each one of us is not a part of the solution to the challenges we face in the changing climate, then we are part of the problem.  Fossil based fuels are not sustainable and we need to each play our part in exerting mounting pressure to divorce ourselves from this energy source.

Mary - - I love that. You are so right. If we are not part of the solution, we are part of the problem. I couldn't agree with you more! Thank you for your participation in this challenge!

    Food Reduce Animal Products
In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

I believe originated as a situation of "learning what you live with."  Certainly was the case for me.  European diets contained more meat and potatoes and they are our ancestors. We are learning more variety with immigrant cultures and planetary pressures.  Food lobbies also have a huge part to play in today's world. We need to stop subsidizing the farmers who have meat produce and subsidize the farmers who have plant products.

I agree about the subsidies issue. And our gov't is also subsidizing the fossil fuel industry still. Crazy!!
