REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Smaller PortionsFun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?
Debbie Bush 4/11/2019 1:55 PMReflection Question: Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions? In taking few calories can help me loose wait. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Keep Track of Wasted FoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?
Debbie Bush 4/09/2019 6:21 AMI have been saving more leftovers lately instead of throwing out food. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Recycle Everything I CanHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?
Debbie Bush 4/08/2019 11:52 AMHow do I incorporate the "R"s in reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose etc. into my lifestyle.
I recycle all the metal and plastic cans that I can in my township. I am collecting glass bottles again and putting them in our new glass recycling bins here at the library.
I try to repair things before throwing them out and buying new.
