REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodFun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?

REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Pam Camara 4/16/2019 3:33 PMHabit, convenience, cultural 'norms' of a country with a history of cattle consumption. This says we go for the easy, quick things. Perhaps, with more evidence of how this high meat consumption is not only bad for personal, but also world, health and food equality, these norms might change. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsWhat single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?
Pam Camara 4/16/2019 3:30 PMOnly thing in list I use with some regularity is plastic bags. I have been bringing more of my re-useable bags cloth or paper bags when I shop. I also try to avoid any coffee in a cup other than my washable ones. -
Pam Camara 4/14/2019 3:31 PMResearching women-owned businesses has been INSPIRING! So much happening. During our book club time I learned much on how the impact of anything women-related (especially supporting education and family-planning) was some of the best action we can take.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportWhat did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?
Pam Camara 4/14/2019 3:21 PMMost interesting thing: an affirmation that Kai's work in the field of city planning toward improving transit in cities could have greatest impact.
Various things I can attempt to do personally: telepresence, ride-sharing, and look at the possibility of a hybrid car when it's time for that. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and CitiesWhat are your next steps for saving energy?
Pam Camara 4/07/2019 11:44 AMI will research solar panels, get NYSERDA audit, and look into on-demand hot water heating come summertime.-

Pam Camara 4/06/2019 4:17 PMThough I am conscious of doing things for Drawdown each day, and am even more conscious of many impacts in each day than I usually am, I seem to be forgetting to come on here and check in. That's my daily challenge in days coming! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWomen and GirlsGlobally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. How can you better support communities by supporting women? Can you share any past experiences that may help others take action?
