    Next step is to improve the insulation in our house to reduce heat and cooling loss.

    Replaced with a Nest thermostat.  Automatically doing the heating and cooling based on a schedule will keep us more comfortable while saving energy.

    Getting a digester on every farm would seem to really decrease energy consumption and methane emissions at the same time.  Video I watched showed a farm which was 98% efficient in terms of energy use (they could support the entire farm plus one of the farm houses).
