    I learned that it's important to consider the actual language on a "sell/use/best by" citation and that in general these dates are more of an indicator of peak freshness/quality of a product rather than indicating when it will spoil or become inedible. We could prevent lots of wasted food if we didn't misinterpret "sell by" dates!
