REFLECTION QUESTIONFood CompostingProducing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?
Kristi Chilton 4/16/2019 6:06 AMWe try really hard not to let food go to waste, because I think of ALL of the costs and impacts of producing it. But in a family of four, there will always be waste from inedibles like egg shells, banana peels, coffee grounds, etc. Being able to return those to the soil is very gratifying, and it also makes me more aware of the things that I am not able to put into recycling or compost. -
