REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Learn More about SilvopastureHad you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?
Jennifer Colburn 4/23/2019 3:46 PMI hadn't heard of silvopasture before, but it's a great concept and I shared it with my brother who is a farmer. It makes sense to have trees and animals sharing space, and mutually benefiting each other. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Install a Low-Flow ShowerheadWhat would a sustainable water future in your region look like? What needs to change?
Jennifer Colburn 4/23/2019 3:08 PMIf people reduced the amount of water used during summer months, all of our lawns would be dead, but there are plenty of native plants that are drought resistant and evergreen that could be planted instead of grass for beautiful landscapes. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWomen and Girls Give a MicroloanGlobally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. Why do you think that is?
Jennifer Colburn 4/11/2019 4:11 PMWomen invest more in their families and communities then men because they recognize that even small contributions close to home can make a big difference in the lives of people around them. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Use Muscle PowerHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
Jennifer Colburn 4/11/2019 4:04 PMBiking to work, even in the rain, is great, as I see my neighbors walking their dogs and I wave and say hi.
