REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and CitiesWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Nora Cosnowski 4/23/2019 11:20 AMI have enjoyed talking to friends and admiring the architecture of Traverse City homes. I have also really liked the fresh air:) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodWhat did you find out? What is the most interesting fact you learned?
Nora Cosnowski 4/15/2019 12:41 PMThis was interesting. There are a lot of good ideas out there and it is unfortunate that more people are not taking advantage of these ideas. I really liked the multilayered agriculture, where there are trees, with other crops growing beneath. A good way to sequested more carbon:)-

REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
Nora Cosnowski 4/15/2019 12:34 PMThis was pretty interesting, it will make me look at dates on food items a little differently. I think I was probably disposing of some items before it was really necessary. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
Nora Cosnowski 4/12/2019 8:42 AMI worked on combining trips when driving, so that I limited my mileage for the week. I also took my bike once to Oryana to shop. I think this made my week more enjoyable. I had a nice bike ride and got to see wildlife instead of just being in a car. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsGood job on choosing recycled paper! How can you take your action a step further?
Nora Cosnowski 4/11/2019 10:55 AMI will only buy recycled paper from now on, but will also work on buying other recycled paper products as well. Paper towels, toilet paper, and paper plates. I think this is an easy step to help the environment:) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodHad you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?
Nora Cosnowski 4/11/2019 10:47 AMI had not heard of silvopasture before today. I think the biggest advantage is the increase in wellbeing for the animals kept in these types of pastures instead of the traditional treeless pastures. A close second is the added carbon sequestration. It is a very interesting idea that I hope takes off soon:)
