REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Generation Explore Other Electricity Generation SolutionsWhat is the most exciting solution you explored? Why is it exciting to you?
Ben Danile 4/24/2019 8:12 AMI am fascinated by the energy solutions that involve disposing of waste as well. I think that these are great solutions that solve two problems. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Social Justice Learn about Local Indigenous PracticesWhat did you learn about indigenous peoples' land management that you can apply in your own life?
Ben Danile 4/24/2019 8:06 AMi didn't realize that these community lands make up so much of the total land. And the initiatives people take to make the land as beneficial as possible. -
Ben Danile 4/24/2019 7:47 AMLast day of Eco Challenge! Make sure to log all your points!! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Stay on the GroundWhat was your process like for restructuring your trip? How can you avoid more air travel in the future?
Ben Danile 4/24/2019 7:47 AMWe decided to drive instead of fly. Having multiple people to split up the drive makes it much easier and can be fun too. -

Ben Danile 4/23/2019 7:16 AMTwo more days left in the eco challenge!
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Research and Advocate for High-Speed RailWhat are the factors that influence your choice of transportation? These can include things like money, time, and convenience, as well as perceptions of danger or safety. What would need to change for you to regularly choose more climate-friendly options?
Ben Danile 4/23/2019 7:16 AMThe biggest factor is schedule and route. Years ago voters across Northern Colorado approved more rail stations and routes. But these projects fall behind and as a result there are still very limited rail options in Colorado. We need more funding and routes if we want more people to be able to take them. -
Ben Danile 4/22/2019 7:48 AMFinal week of the Eco Challenge!! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Properly Dispose of RefrigerantsHow do you address your own feelings of concern, fear or despair about climate change?
Ben Danile 4/22/2019 7:48 AMYou have to start with what you can control. So much of the discussion is around the big picture but we have to focus on little actions and not get overwhelmed by the size of it all.
