REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Mulch the Base of Trees and PlantsName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Kathryn DeForrest 4/12/2019 10:50 AMchemical-laden lawn fertilizers and pesticides. We can improve the health by not using these products and finding alternatives weather it be a different lawn, no lawn or accepting weeds. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and Cities Go for a Daily WalkWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Kathryn DeForrest 4/05/2019 8:45 AMI enjoy the people activity downtown Denver in the evenings - walking to my bus. My walk would be more enjoyable if there was less litter, dog poo, and mystery splats on the sidewalks. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterials Fix Leaky FaucetsWhat are other easy and low-cost ways to reduce your water usage at home?
Kathryn DeForrest 4/04/2019 12:38 PMI planted an eco lawn last year and it's supposed to use 10% of the water a regular lawn requires. It also looks super cool. -
Kathryn DeForrest 4/03/2019 3:43 PMI saw myself how much water I was wasting in my shower because I put a bucket under the shower head. yikes. $40 fix (plus some time fighting with old parts. but I won).
