REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Keep Track of Wasted FoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?
Rob Dunn 4/08/2019 11:35 PMSo far so good. I generally am able to eat what I serve myself. Any non meat food waste will be placed in the home composting bin -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransport Research and Consider Switching to a Hybrid or Electric VehicleReducing (or eliminating) exhaust emissions and improving public health are two benefits of green vehicles. What other motivators inspire you to consider switching to a more fuel-efficient vehicle?
Rob Dunn 4/07/2019 11:23 PMCurrently I drive an ICE vehicle. It is very economical however, I have made the decision to replace it with an EV with 3 years. The only problem being that the Australia government offers very little in the way of incentives for purchasing an EV. The existing charging network is also extremely limited. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Social Justice Express My SupportHow could better walking infrastructure make your city both more enjoyable and more equitable?
Rob Dunn 4/03/2019 6:01 PMIn the city of Melbourne over 80% of trips are made on foot however, traffic lights are phased for the quick movement of motor vehicles. By re calibrating traffic lights to favour pedestrians and increasing the width of pavements the city will become a paradise for active transport users. The increase in foot traffic would have a positive economic benefit on local business as well as an obvious environmental benefit. In addition it would have a positive impact on the "health of the nation" where obesity has reached almost epidemic proportions.
