    Marie Ellsworth 4/12/2019 5:46 PM
No, I have not heard of Silvopasture before. This is a great use of land!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Buildings and Cities Go by Bike
How does using human-powered transportation make you feel compared to using other methods of transportation?

    Marie Ellsworth's avatar
    Marie Ellsworth 4/06/2019 6:10 AM
It makes me feel stronger and better about myself because I am 1. helping the earth and atmosphere and 2. I would be getting in the exercise I need to be healthy.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Electricity Generation Spread the Word about Energy Alternatives
What inspiration and wisdom can you gather from your family, faith, or community traditions that would help you in both communicating about and addressing our most pressing energy issues?

    Marie Ellsworth's avatar
    Marie Ellsworth 4/06/2019 6:08 AM
Asking my parents and grandparents about the changes in the earth they have seen over the years of them being alive and what they have done to try to help the earth.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Composting
Producing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?

    Marie Ellsworth's avatar
    Marie Ellsworth 4/06/2019 6:07 AM
I think seeds and water is what motivates me the most because without seeds we wouldn't have any food that isn't meat based, without water we would dehydrate and the crops would have no water to grow.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Smaller Portions
Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?

    Marie Ellsworth's avatar
    Marie Ellsworth 4/06/2019 6:05 AM
Not putting more food on our plates then we can eat so there is less food waste and less Co2 being emitted into the atmosphere.
