Advocating for rooftop solar helps to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels. Financial incentives help people make the leap, it gives them better cost benefit, break even points, tax credits. I also recently learned of leasing options such as from Tesla, a family memeber of mine pays $35/month for 20 years for their system with no up front cost. It saves them hundreds on their electricity bill and they'll even get a rebate for they sold back to the grid at the end of the year.
