joining the Eco challenge has definitely made me more aware of how I can make adjustments to my lifestyle in order to help contribute into creating a healthier world
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

Differentiating between use by, sell by, and best by dates provides more clarification as to when food items are still good, should be used soon, or discarded. It helps individuals better plan out their meals with the materials they have available; and therefore, less wasted products in the end.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Materials
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?

I feel like for me, my bad habits with recycling comes from laziness to walk down to the recycle bin in the parking garage. I have tried to group recyclable items together to take them down altogether and just the thought that sometimes I throw them down the trash chute out of pure laziness makes me want to make a change.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
In your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?

I feel like maybe a lot of this has to do with the way people are raised and availability as well as lack of awareness
