    Women and Girls
What are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?

A barrier is some companies have yet to get behind the equality system where women and men should be treated the same. Another barrier is a woman is suppose to focus on family responsibility while the man is suppose to work.

I found out that there are many ways to help save the environment through transportation. Gasoline is expensive and is killing the environment, having a battery-based car can help the environment and lower cost of transportation. An interesting fact that I learned was electric cars are very efficient in low speed situations.

I found out that there are many other solutions to eating healthier as well as saving the environment through food. Having a plant-rich diet will help you stay healthy and will reduce emissions. An interesting fact that I learned was having a plant-rich diet will lower chronic diseases.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transport
Reducing (or eliminating) exhaust emissions and improving public health are two benefits of green vehicles. What other motivators inspire you to consider switching to a more fuel-efficient vehicle?

Another benefit is it would be cheaper for me to recharge my car rather than fill it up with gas every few days. I will be saving myself money as well as saving the environment.

Today, I had no waste for my meals. I had a big breakfast, but ate all of it. I ate all the snacks I bought and I completely finished my lunch, as well.

I learned that family planning is a human right, that some people are not offered. A major part of family planning is gender equality.

What concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.

I think what concerns me the most is a majority of people know that we are destroying the planet, but are not willing to do anything about it. They think that someone else will take charge and make a change when you could be the one that makes the change.

I learned that bioplastics can disposed in industrial composting facilities. There is one located New York City called the East River Compost Yard.

Clean air, clean water and healthy food are three reasons to care about regenerative agriculture. What are some other reasons?

Regenerative agriculture helps bring back to life or continue to grow the soil. It helps make the soil more rich and become more healthy.
