  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Dependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these (or other) advantages inspire you the most?

Supporting local farmers is so very important.  The term No Farms No Food is a very strong and very true statement.

Although I feel that the changes were not large that I have made to my daily lifestyle I feel that I have become more mindful of them and their impact on the world.  And how it really does take a village.  I was proud to be part of ours <3

As an art teacher I go through A LOT of paper.  I have found that most brands carry a line of "mostly" recycled paper.  So I try to order that kind whenever possible.

What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

I was surprised to read methane gas contributes to the warming of the planet 34 times more than carbon dioxide.  When I think of methane I think organic but organic in this case is more harmful.  So don't be fooled like I was.  Take the time to read into things further.
