    Land Use Research Peatlands
Much of Indonesia's peatlands have been drained so they could be replaced with palm oil or pulp and paper plantations. How can you make choices that help to protect peatlands, even if you live far away from one?

You can make choices that help to protect peatlands, even if you live far away from one by simply campaigning or starting a fund to protect peatlands.

Electricity Generation Learn More about Micro Wind
Micro turbines can be placed on large structures to take advantage of stronger, steadier breezes. The Eiffel Tower now sports vertical axis turbines that produce electricity for use on site. Where could micro turbines potentially be installed in your city?

In my city, micro turbines can potentially be placed on farms and on the mountainous regions

I learned that 225 million women in lower-income countries say they want to be able to choose whether and when to become pregnant. But they don't have access to contraception. This also happens in some high-income countries as well, such as the United States where 45 percent of pregnancies aren't planned. I also learned that the need for family planning is important because as the world's population continues to increase, so does the need for the usage of energy. Thus the number of carbon footprints increases significantly as well. When providing family planning and listening to the needs, empowerment, and equality of women around the world can only benefit the world as a whole.

Food Learn More about Regenerative Agriculture
Clean air, clean water and healthy food are three reasons to care about regenerative agriculture. What are some other reasons?

Some other reasons to care about regenerative agriculture are that regenerative agriculture also results in the enhancement of the health of the soil by restoring its carbon content. This improves productivity. It was estimated from a current adaptation of 108 million acres that regenerative agriculture could approximately increase a total of 1 billion acres by 2050. "This increase could result in a total reduction of 23.2 gigatons of carbon dioxide, from both sequestration and reduced emissions. Regenerative agriculture could provide a $1.9 trillion financial return by 2050 on an investment of $57 billion." https://www.drawdown.org/solutions/food/regenerative-agriculture

Action Track: Social Justice Learn about Local Indigenous Practices
What did you learn about indigenous peoples' land management that you can apply in your own life?

I learned that the indigenous peoples' land management protects the culture and traditional lives of the people, maintains the ecosystems and biodiversity of their forests and helps those in need. Their practices include home gardens, agroforestry systems, shifting swidden cultivation, pastoral approaches to raising livestock, fire management, and community managed forests. Since the indigenous peoples' lives are based on their land, they are one of the communities that are affected the most by climate change. I can apply what I learned the indigenous peoples' land management to my own life by campaigning against deforestation just as the indigenous people.
