REFLECTION QUESTIONLand UseAre bamboo alternatives readily available in your community? If not, what are other sustainable alternatives?
Kaitlyn Gonzalez 4/04/2019 7:46 PMWhile bamboo alternatives aren't extremely easy to get here they aren't impossible. I got a free set of bamboo utensils from my schools sustainability club. And I can always order things on amazon. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity GenerationWhat does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?
Kaitlyn Gonzalez 4/04/2019 7:43 PMA sustainable community is one in which the people are aware and think about the choices they are making and how they impact the environment. The mentality of convenience over sustainable would need to change in order for this to become a reality. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodFun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?
Kaitlyn Gonzalez 4/04/2019 7:12 PMEating smaller portions will help us not feel so full that we feel sick and develop stomach aches. It will also save money in the long run because you won't be buying so much food.
