    This challenge was super fun! The only thing I had a hard time completing was my Metro Area Transit challenge, I took Lyft alot.

    Globally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. How can you better support communities by supporting women? Can you share any past experiences that may help others take action?

    Currently anywhere between 70-80% of entrepreneurial investment goes to men so ANYTHING we can do as shoppers to support women is helpful! I started by asking friends and family for referrals and then hitting up our local farmer's markets.

    The only thing I didn't do so well in this  challenge was riding Omaha Metro Area Transit.  I did alot more walking, Lyfting and car pooling!

    Today's spotlight is on LaVonblu Luxury Bath and Body products. It is owned and operated by mother and son Sharon and Jordan Gateley. Theey use all natural and organic ingredients!     This week wasted a serving of broccoli, half a breakfast sandwhich from Dunkin Donuts, half a serving of mashed potatoes, and 2tbs of mac & cheese. I have a bag of popcorn I didn't care for going outside to the birds.

    The last couple of days I have wasted a serving of broccoli,  and green beans. Two items I would normally throw away because I don't like them, I am trying to find new purposes for instead.

    I chose to participate in the challenge in order to commit to a small amount of daily things I could do to help change some habits and help the environment.

    How is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?

    I received a ponderosa pine that I will be planting in a space in honor of my sister who recently passed away from a heart attack, as well as doing a heart walk. I think planting it's good healing. I will also be planting a package of wildflowers I recieved in honor of my cousin who passed away last year. They are just little reminders and good for mental health.
