REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportHow has your access to various kinds of transporation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?
Anaistasia Gray 4/03/2019 11:27 AMI grew up in rural Thurston county, where all forms of public transport are completely limited. Because it was so limited I was completely unaware of how beneficial of a resource it is. Moving to Seattle, where public transport is readily available even in relatively isolated neighborhoods. It quickly became apparent how public transport improves traffic, provides accessibility to low-income families, etc. My attitude shifted from indifference to advocacy. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Social JusticeHow can you advocate for transportation systems which minimize environmental impact while also meeting human needs?
Anaistasia Gray 3/28/2019 12:12 PMRide the bus/tram/lightrail more frequently! The more demand, the more money eventually funneled into mass transit. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand UseHow difficult or easy was it to change your diet?
Anaistasia Gray 3/28/2019 12:10 PMTossed out every item in my fridge and pantry containing palm oil. I try to avoid it already, but I hadn't ever really looked TOO hard for it. Only if it fell on one of the top few ingredients. An afternoon well spent, but definitely not hard!-
