REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsHow do you address your own feelings of concern, fear or despair about climate change?
Tiombé Green 4/22/2019 3:11 PMI try to get more informed about it and then make a difference in any way I can. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsWhat could you do differently to waste less?
Tiombé Green 4/10/2019 6:39 PMSome ways to waste less at home are by freezing extra portions. Instead of throwing away food, you can freeze it for later. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
Tiombé Green 4/09/2019 9:49 AMIt shows me that I need to pay more attention into looking at what kind of date in on a packaging. I always just threw out food passed off the date on the packaging, not knowing it could just be a sell by date and food is still good. So to also prevent wasting food I will take a few more minutes of my time and really see if something is expired or not. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsWhat do you want to prioritize over material 'stuff' in your own life?
Tiombé Green 4/09/2019 9:43 AMI want prioritize experiences over materials. Life is not about owning or holding stuff. Life is about experiences not souvenirs. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONMaterialsHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?
Tiombé Green 4/04/2019 10:45 AMSometimes its overwhelming. Implementing all of the R's can be hard especially if the resources you need to do it isn't around you. I try to always recycle when I can. I'll hold on to plastic water bottles until I see a recycling bin. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Tiombé Green 4/04/2019 10:37 AMI think North America eats more meat because of culture. We are known for large portions of food and over-eating. A lot of the people in the United States are obese. We also clone a lot of meats making them cheaper and able to buy at larger quantities. Meat is a staple. A meal without meat seems unbalanced. We need to change this idea and remember that meat isn't something we need in every meal. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?
Tiombé Green 4/04/2019 8:29 AMI would rather use this money on school to be honest. Anything to make my tuition cheaper is great. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBuildings and CitiesWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Tiombé Green 4/04/2019 8:28 AMI noticed I communicate with the community more. So I would nod my head or smile at people walking by. I listen to my surroundings. I like sounds of the birds tweeting. It's really cute. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportHow do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?
Tiombé Green 4/04/2019 8:06 AMWhen I'm walking around town and to my destination I feel more interactive with the environment than when I'm closed off in a car. When in a car it's like I'm in my own world. However, when walking, I can smell the air, feel the breeze, and smile at people walking by.
