Pam Camara 4/10/2019 8:45 AMGood point - and yet I wonder about places like Japan where they work work work more hours than we do and eat a much healthier diet - that diet is ancient, as is their culture, so wondering how that ties in as well.. our mixed, younger heritage?

REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodIn your opinion, what contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other countries? What does this say about North American values and ways of living?
Brandon Harkin 4/10/2019 7:33 AMI believe the major reason for North America eating more meat than other countries has to do with marketing. We are a country that values working a lot and moving rapidly. Often leading to less time to cook or prepare. Fast food chains and restaurants are based around meat; Whopper, Big Mac, Chicken Sandwich, etc. That is what we see most and that plays a part into what we eat. Also, there is a stereotype and judgement toward vegetarian or vegan meals. Many only think of tofu as an option when in reality there is so much to choose from.
