    Food Smaller Portions
Fun fact: Your brain and stomach register feelings of fullness after about 20 minutes of eating. While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come out of eating smaller portions?

There have been studies that have proven that eating smaller and more frequent portions of food make you happier. Eating more frequent and smaller portions of food can also make people snack less and ultimately may help them lose weight.

    Land Use Research Peatlands
Much of Indonesia's peatlands have been drained so they could be replaced with palm oil or pulp and paper plantations. How can you make choices that help to protect peatlands, even if you live far away from one?

Before researching peatlands I did not know what they were. i discovered that, Peatlands are a type of wetlands that occur in almost every country on Earth. Currently they are covering about 3% of the global land surface. The term ‘peatland’ refers to the peat soil and the wetland habitat growing on its surface.

Women and Girls Support Women-Owned Businesses
Globally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. How can you better support communities by supporting women? Can you share any past experiences that may help others take action?

I can better support communities by supporting women by shopping at women-owned businesses. Also, I can share and blog about women-owned businesses with my friends and family. There are also many women-owned businesses that focus on making products that support women. I can support their company and women in general by buying their products.
